WHAT IS THE MIYJCC EMERGENCY FUND?
During these difficult and unprecedented times, the Mid-Island Y JCC remains committed to serving the needs of our community. The MIYJCC's Emergency Fund ensures the operation of our life changing programs and virtual services. Since the Pandemic began, we have collected and distributed over 10,000 lbs of food to those experiencing food insecurity through our Rudman Family Food Pantry, including the delivery of over 400 meals to homebound seniors weekly. We currently host over 40 weekly virtual fitness classes, which now include outdoor group classes & one-on-one personal training sessions. We also provide individual calls weekly to over 300 seniors living in the Plainview-Old Bethpage & Syosset communities and so much more. We need your support so that we will be able to continue to serve our community now and when we fully reopen our doors.
